Aaron, Class of 2021

“At my old school, the friends I had were not always the friends I needed. Everyone here is a much better influence. The peer pressure to make bad choices was much higher at my old school but everyone here encourages you to grow and make better choices.

I also like the diversity—here everyone is family and I feel much more comfortable.

My first year in high school, I had a sub the entire year in math class and didn’t really learn what I needed to in order to be successful in my future math classes. Once I got here we were able to figure out what I needed and rearrange my schedule so I could take that class again and be successful.

I’ve also grown a lot in my faith here. My relationship with God is better and now I know how to pray and what the Bible is for.

I also have better relationships with my teachers. Before I felt like they just wanted to get class out of the way, but teachers here respect us as people and will do what’s needed to help you achieve.”
