Early Learning Center
Who are we?
Our Early Learning Center is a year-round, full-time daycare program that offers a quality academic program to children from 3 years through 5 years of age. We are distinctively Christian and we provide both an excellent preschool and quality childcare for students.
Our Approach
WSCS is a place that children and adults consider their second home, a place where they are accepted and loved, and a place where laughter and play are cherished. We are ready to partner with families as they navigate the wonderful and sometimes unpredictable world of raising children. Continuous and open communication is an important part of how we operate.
Our Philosophy
The educational philosophy of our school centers on the development of the complete child: spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially. Through a nurturing and loving environment, we are committed to helping our children reach their God-given potential through educational and developmentally appropriate activities.
Spiritual Development
God has given parents and teachers the awesome responsibility of nurturing the children He has placed in our care. We believe that when we plant the seeds of God’s word, the child develops in the wisdom and knowledge of God and His ways.
Daily Bible Integration
Our teachers include a daily Bible lesson with songs, stories, and Scripture verses. Teachers also use this time to present life application lessons that connect to children’s lives in a meaningful, age-appropriate way. In addition to the daily Bible lessons, each child has the opportunity to participate in chapel on Fridays
Curriculum
At WSCS ELC our primary curriculum for many years has been the A-Beka Curriculum. Children are taught scripture verses, Bible stories, math, reading, writing, art, science, music, poetry, and nursery rhymes. Age appropriate books are used daily to enhance our learning activities Learn More
Enrichments
Unlike many daycares, we integration enrichment activities into our daily experiences. Our STEM Den allows students to explore their world through hands on experiences and activities. The time our students spend in the STEM Den is often their favorite time of the Day. Learn More
